Equine Massage Foundation Course...

BELOW: The breeding shed area of our main barn is turned into a classroom for this intense workshop.

ABOVE LEFT: Students learn all of the horses bones and muscles in preparation for working on the horses. ABOVE CENTER & RIGHT: "Shady" & "Abby" enjoy being subjects of the course study!

BELOW LEFT: A special chalk is used to draw underlying muscles. CENTER: The group practices stretches while a reporter from the Roanoke-Times takes pictures and notes. RIGHT: Mark rides "Abby" so the group can watch muscles in action.

ABOVE: On the final day, Ruth completely "paints" Cody showing all the muscles and bones that the group has learned to identify. an intense process that takes 2-3 hours. The result is a masterpiece!! BELOW: Stickers are added to identify "pressure points" on the horse.
