We had a wonderful weekend entertaining newcomers, spending time with clients, and learning about Egyptian Arabian pedigrees from our guest Shawn Crews of Arabians, LTD.
BELOW LEFT: Mia Moniet (Thee Infidel x Minstrils Moniet by The Minstril) is heavy in foal to Pimlico RCA, but still enjoys being the center of the crowd's attention!
CENTER & RIGHT: Always a crowd favorite, Magic Elixir (The Elixir x Rhapsody In Black by Thee Desperado) makes his entrance and then gets some cookies from him mom.
ABOVE: All the women love Magic...and he loves the attention he gets from Shawn, Renee and Kim.
BELOW LEFT & CENTER: In the classroom, the group enjoys hearing about the History of the Straight Egyptian Arabian and the close relationship that has developed between horse and human.
RIGHT: The first of the consignment fillies, Mishaals Excellence NVA (Mishaal HP x Dasani Dari RCA by Alixir) promptly heads towards Skip to have her photo taken.
ABOVE: This 2-month old filly, whose barn name is "Emmy" loves people and being the center of attention...hmmmm....sounds like a future show filly!!
BELOW: Mark introduces Monas Essence (Thee Asil x Il Bint Mona RCA by Thee Infidel) who is a stunning 2-year with incredible movement and an awesome pedigree!

ABOVE: Mona floats around the ring for the crowd and is rewarded with a kiss on the nose by Mark as Deb & Shawn look on...
BELOW: Halwat Elthika (Thee Infidel x Melaka Majiida) blows and snorts and has a great time showing off for the crowd. "Hallie" is a beautiful 2-year old with great movement and charisma.
ABOVE: The oldest of the consignment fillies, Brieta Sanaa RCA (Mishaal HP x Brieta RCA by Thee Infidel) was born 1/19/2008. Her dam line produced the South African National Champion The Maestro. Brieta is a big 2-year old and should top out at 15.2h when fully grown.
BELOW: Sunday was a special day that started with a Pedigree Seminar for our clients and guests conducted by Shawn Crews. The group loved listening to Shawn share personal memories of some of the horses in our pedigrees, and funny stories from her early years working with these incredible animals while at Bentwood, Gardner Bloodstock, Rock Creek Arabians and Arabians Ltd.
ABOVE: The group clung to every word Shawn shared as they learned more about their horses and their family history.
BELOW LEFT: Shawn becomes an official member of the "Purple Gang" when she is given a special purple Amethyst Acres T-shirt.
CENTER: The children of our future....Kendra & Colleen Peery and Hannah & Miriam Ho were presented with Breyer models of Thee Desperado by Shawn, much to the delight of the young ladies!
RIGHT: A special award for Deb's sister Pat...a 60 minute massage!! What better way to thank someone who works so hard helping put together these events!! Thanks sister!!
ABOVE: Pam Lemon was the recipient of our first "Client of the Year" award, given for year 2009. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Pam for all she does for Amethyst Acres...she is the ultimate Team Player...thanks Pam...we love ya!!
CENTER: The plaque was one of six originals created by Karen Aneiro...thanks Karen!!
RIGHT: It was even more special that Pam's mom, Alta, could be on hand for the surprise!!
BELOW: Let the feast begin!! Chef Mark supplied the grilled meats and everyone brought a delicious dish to share...and boy did we pig out!!!
ABOVE: Did someone say "pig out???" Nothing like a nap after lunch!!

CENTER & RIGHT: Brooke shows Connie the progress she has made starting Ameerah TCF (Thee Asil x Kareeka RCA x Alixir) under saddle for their family...good job Brooke!!
ABOVE: ROAD TRIP!!!! This group loves any excuse to visit a new place and see beautiful horses and jumped at the invitation to visit Brooke & Kevin Peery's home on the top of Purgatory Mountain....and what an incredible view!!
